We know that the Torah says to circumcise the flesh of the foreskin, we also know that Brit Chadasha says to circumcise the flesh of our hearts, but do we truly understand what it means to circumcise the heart? and why does Yahweh require males to be physically circumcised now that we have Yeshua? These are questions that will be explored and answered in parasha Ekev.
In the midst of the chaos and deception of our current day and age, it’s paramount that we stay focused on Yeshua, so that we are not led astray by the lies of the enemy and his cunning tactics.
Shoftim is the Hebrew for “judge.” In our modern understanding of the word “judge”, we think of someone who upholds justice on behalf of their government. In parasha Shoftim, we will analyze the role of a judge in respect to Yahweh’s standard of justice and righteousness.
In parasha Ki Tetze, in order to understand, the profound significance of the curse that Yeshua bore for our sin, so that we may be redeemed. We first have to study Yahweh’s unique and complex character, and by doing so this will give us a better understanding of His righteousness and purity.
In parasha Ki Tavo, we ask the question, are we giving Yahweh our absolute best? Our general scope for this week’s study revolves around the attitude of our heart when we give. And we will determine that answer for ourselves as we will analyze and study things like the three-tithe system and whether or not it is lawful to pay taxes to Caesar. If we were to summarize parasha Vayelech. It would be summarized as a plea for us to return to Yahweh. For all of mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of Elohim – Romans 3:23.
