Watch Here: Set-Apart Communities, Part 1
We have a lot of very important information for you in this study. We have had a lot of studies and a lot of very disparate things, and people are wondering why they need to know these things. And I believe that knowing about the communities is going to help snap things into focus for a lot of people. This is a very, very important teaching and it will be a very important series.
I am (at this time in 2021) in central Chile. I was in southern Chile for the last two-and-a-half years, and we are at this time attempting to find a location and get settled. In our Revelation and End Times study, we explain that (by our understanding) there will be times of trial and tribulation coming upon the United States, as well as a collapse of Europe, and these kinds of things. So we are looking to establish a safe haven for those who want to do what Scripture says and to live the right way according to what Scripture says.
We were very excited about Chile. It is a very beautiful country, a lot of very nice people. It is the most economically stable of all the Latin American countries, a lot of good things going for it. But (as of this time in 2021) they have been starting very heavily with the vaccine requirements. Currently, in October 2021, they have the highest double-vaccination rate for Covid in all of Latin America. Last I heard it was over 85 percent and still climbing. And now, as of next month (November 1st, 2021), you will not even be able to get on a bus unless you are vaccinated.
We took a look at all these sorts of things and decided it was time to move the ministry headquarters.
So, Yahweh willing, we are currently (in 2021) in the process of moving from Chile to Colombia. It is good practice for us because in the future we will again be moving the headquarters from Colombia (or whatever other country) to the land of Israel, after the tribulation and the ingathering. So, we are starting something big here, and who has despised the day of small beginnings? Again, you know, things never go according to our plans because man’s plans are his way, but Yahweh directs his steps. But one of the top things we want to do when we get to Colombia is to set up a literal Scriptural community. And we are going to see that this is something that is implied in Scripture, it is something that we should be doing. And so we want to talk about what community means and we are going to cover a lot of information in this study.
I believe this is one of those teachings like The Two Houses and like the Ancient Hebrew Wedding Ceremony. This is one of those studies that will help snap everything else into focus and gives a framework to help us understand the Great Commission, the Five-Fold Ministry, and the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets; all these things.
We are going to make a lot of references here to other materials, in particular, three books. We are going to especially make reference to Revelation and The End Times. You can also find that information in the YouTube video series, Revelation Simplified, found on the Nazarene Israel channel.
Basically, the point of the Revelation study is to help people understand what will take place in the end times. I studied Revelation and the end-time prophecies full-time for several years, three or four years maybe. And so far, everything that we have predicted is right on track. We know exactly where we are in the Revelation timeline. In order to help people decipher and understand the news and how it fits into the greater overall scheme of things, we publish a Revelation timeline every week on the Nazarene Israel website. You have to be logged in to view.
This particular study will also be available on the website. The video will not be publicly listed. Probably you received this email link from a friend, or if you are signed up on our weekly newsletter because we are going to talk openly here. We are going to talk about some things that we do not want to have publicly listed because we are in the end-times.
Okay. Another reference I want to make, for those of you who want to understand the big picture view of what is going on, I can recommend a book called Torah Government. This is basically a very high-level, theoretical overview of how government (or torah government) has been established in Israel from the very beginning. From the times of the very earliest patriarchs, all the way through the Levitical Order, into the Melchizedekian Order, then through the great falling away, and now into the restoration and the re-establishment of the Tabernacle of David in today’s times. That is effectively what Yahweh has us doing, resetting up the Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, in today’s times. Praise Yah!
And then, for those of you who are looking for something more usable and more directly hands-on, something that touches you personally, I would recommend Acts 15 Order. Basically, it talks about how a community should be organized.
We also have another book in progress which is a Nazarene Israel Leadership Guide. Yahweh is calling us to this grand and wonderful work, and there are a thousand things that all need to be done all at once. So I praise Him for that, and I thank Him that we could have any part in this. But I would encourage you, please to join us and share this with anyone that you believe might be interested in learning about a set-apart community the way it is supposed to be done. Many of us have had experiences with communities where things were not done the way that they were supposed to be done. This is an opportunity to learn how set-apart communities are supposed to be done. So please stay with us for this study and then in further chapters we are going to take a big picture overview of set-apart communities to get into the finer points and the details.
A lot of people do not realize how integral community living is to Scripture. They have never heard it; they have never understood it. I know for myself, having been born and raised in the United States, we have this strong, silent independent type motif and this kind of a thing. And really, that is not what Scripture is all about. Scripture is about life in community. But we need to talk about it. Because like with everything else, there is a way that Yahweh Elohim wants us to do things, and then there are a whole bunch of pitfalls, ways to fall off the path, ways to get hurt. Many of us have had experiences with other communities that did not turn out well. In addition to the benefits, we are going to talk about some of the common pitfalls and how to avoid them.
We received some inquiries from some who seemed like some very serious brothers and sisters who wanted to know about life in communities. They realize that we are setting up a community in Colombia (hopefully, if Father will help me to get there). So then they were wanting to join. We thought, well, we really need to publish some good information for those who qualify, whose hearts are to serve Yeshua and to be truly His Proverbs 31 bride would know what is expected. Because we need to talk about being His Proverbs 31 bride, the benefits of living in a community, and the pitfalls of living in community. It is really important that we talk about these things so that there is a true understanding.
So we went through in the council meeting, and we thought about what the things are that we need to talk about. In this first part, we just want to give a basic, global, big picture overview and introduction, so to speak. Then we are also going to talk about the role of communities in the end times and in the tribulation. Then we want to talk about the two different kinds of community. There is what is called the Moshav, and there is also what is called the Kibbutz. We will talk about that briefly in this first part and then in more detail later on. Then we want to talk about the role of community in fulfilling the Great Commission. Most people have no idea that the community plays a role in the Great Commission, it is a very important role.
In future chapters, we are going to talk about the physical realities of community. Because there are a lot of misconceptions about what community living is like. We are going to talk about that. Again, there is a difference between living in a Moshav, which is a community, or in a Kibbutz, which is more of a closer-knit community. Then we are also going to talk about what can go wrong. We are going to talk about what is called the Matthew 18 Process and in particular, show how the Beit Din plays a role in that. Then we are also going to talk about the Colombian Headquarters Community, and we are going to do a special session for community leaders for those who are interested.
And then finally, we will talk about the three tithes in Scripture community. And the topic of three tithes is one of those things that people quite often do not understand. What three tithes? What do we need three tithes for? When we get there, I think this is one of those things that is going to snap things into focus. You are going to go ‘Oh, that is what those are for!’
Again, there are a lot of people learning a lot of really good information. But it is kind of esoteric to them because they do not have the big-picture viewpoint to understand how these things fit together. I think this is going to be one of those studies that are going to be a big eye-opener for a lot of people. it is going to be a big ‘Aha!’ moment for a lot of people.
It will be like ‘Oh! So that is what the Beit Din is about! Oh! So that is what Matthew 18 is about! Oh! So that is why we need a third tithe!’
I hope you can read this study to the end because it is going to be increasingly important as we head into these end times.
In talking about why we need to set up a community, we need to talk about the Great Tribulation. The term tribulation is based on a Greek term that basically refers to threshing. As we have talked about in other places, in these end times, Yahweh is effectively growing His harvest. Revelation talks about the wheat harvest and the grape harvest. Yeshua has many of His agricultural parables and there are also other kinds of analogies that we can use. Yahweh is building a living temple made with living stones. He is refining gold and silver in the fire; He is doing all these kinds of things. But He is also bringing in the harvest.
As with any kind of a harvest, there is the harvest and then there is the wood, hay, and stubble which will get burned up with unquenchable fire. But so, there has to be a separation of the wheat from the chaff. It is going to be terrible in these end times to be part of the wood, hay, or stubble (or part of the chaff). Being part of the chaff is something we really do not want to be. There are a lot of people who might think that they are wheat, but unless we are truly doing everything that Yeshua asks us to do, we are not truly the wheat, but rather, we fall more into the wood, hay, stubble (chaff) category. That is one of these difficult realities that it is hard to talk about, but it is one of those things and someone needs to tell you the truth. These are very, very important things, critical things if you hope to survive the tribulation, you and your family.
We also know that Revelation chapter 3, verse 10 tells us that the Assembly of Philadelphia will be protected from harm. They will be protected from the hour of trial which comes upon the whole earth.
Hitgalut (Revelation) 3:10
10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
The term Philadelphia is also a Greek term. It means brotherly love. True brotherly love. A lot of people say brotherly love, but they do not really mean it. When you talk about brotherly love, you are talking about taking care of the community. That is, not just taking care of your friends, but it also talks about taking care of the poor, the widow, and the orphan. That is what the third tithe is all about. We are going to talk about this and how everything fits together.
We also need to talk about how we know that we are going to get shut down at some point. Because Daniel chapter 12 talks about how ultimately the power and strength of the set-apart ones is going to be completely shattered.
Daniel 12:7
27 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the set apart people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
It is a very good possibility that Nazarene Israel could be shut down globally. But our hope is to establish set-apart communities that will be able to survive the tribulation. Because they are properly organized and properly oriented, and these will be things that are pleasing to Yahweh Elohim. And by this we hope to be able to survive the tribulation as the Assembly of Philadelphia. But again, there are requirements to that which we are going to talk about in this series.
We are going to jump into the book of Revelation. This is what I call the Revelation Timeline. You can find this in the Revelation and the End Times study or in the ‘Revelation Simplified‘ video series on our YouTube channel.
You have seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven cups (bowls or vials). You have the fall of Babylon, then Armageddon, and then there is what is called the ingathering and the millennium. We talk about this a lot more in Revelation and The End Times and in Revelation Simplified. But in terms of reasons for setting up a community, we have the first four seals as the releasing of the four horses.
The first horse is the white horse, or true believers in Yeshua. Some might use the term true Christians or true Messianic, but we are going to call them true believers in Yeshua. Those who read their Scriptures and believe the Scriptures.
Then you have the red horse at seal 2. That is, effectively, your non-bible believing Christians. We are talking about your Catholics, your Orthodox churches, Eastern Orthodox, Coptic. These kinds of churches that are based more on the words of men than they are on the words of Yeshua or Elohim.
Then you have the black horse which is brother Judah. And then you have the green horse which is cousin Ishmael. We talk about a lot of things. Father willing, if we ever get time to do Revelation and the End Times Part Two, there is a lot more that we could say.
You could say that the fifth seal began with the events of 1973, with the Iran Hostage Crisis and then it kicked into high gear with the falling of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Then with the Intifada (Arab Uprising or Arab Spring).
We believe we are presently in the timeframe of seal six. These are not just a single event, but a timeframe. We are expecting there to be a nuclear war. There should be a third world war that will eventually go nuclear. And of course, it is an engineered war, just like everything else under Satan’s domain. The whole purpose of this third engineered war is to get the people to clamor for a New World Order and a One World Government. So we know that that is coming soon.
After that, you have a half-an-hour of silence in the heavens where we will see the sealing of the hundred and forty-four thousand. We expect there to be more than a hundred and forty-four thousand believers, we talk about this in the Revelation study, and we will talk more about it in this study. But we expect to see the body of Yeshua begin to come together after the nuclear war at seal six. So we are waiting for a nuclear war. Not that we are not in a hurry, by any means. We are not looking forward to it, but we do want to see it occur because this is one of the events that Yahweh prophesies and it will be a confirmation of our faith.
After this coming war, we will begin to see the bones of Ezekiel chapter 37, verse 7 begin to come together, bone on bone, symbolic of the leaders and teachers coming together and beginning to establish true communities. We believe that this teaching can be key for those leaders who want to do things Yeshua’s way. Now, there are a number of ministries that are teaching against set-apart communities. They are teaching against leadership, against the Five-Fold Ministry, and against the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets. Please pray for them because they need to repent. Because this is something that you are going to see is absolutely scriptural. It is something that any devout believer in Yeshua needs to be doing.
Anyway, conditions are going to continue to get worse. There is a half-hour of silence in heaven. We do the math. One day for a thousand years, a thousand years for a day. That works out to 20 years and 10 months. Then there will be the opening of the seventh seal which involves seven trumpets, or effectively, the seven years of Great Tribulation. We are going to see much worsening conditions, that will not be a good time to be in the United States or in the land of Israel. The second half of this period, or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, is definitely not the time to be in the land of Israel when the abomination that makes desolate is set up.
And then, at the end of the great tribulation comes a great earthquake, or what you could call a societal shakeup. A great quaking of Yahweh is going to shake the earth yet again. We expect Babylon to fall at that point. Babylon falls in the spiritual at the seventh trumpet, and then the seven cups (bowls) of judgment are poured out. That is absolutely not the time to be in the United States of America or in western Europe. Western Europe is expected to fall in what is called the Coudenhove Kalergi Plan. The United States of America is expected to first go through a civil war, and then through nuclear holocaust. Now, there will be survivors, we already know from Scripture there will be survivors dwelling in the United States of America. But we hope that everyone will leave the cities and we believe that the communities are the way that Yahweh wants us to go. Because there are certain things that you just cannot do by yourself. There are certain things that are just better done in community.
After Babylon falls, then there is a final battle of Armageddon (Ezekiel chapter 39), also known as Gog One. And then comes what is called the ingathering, or the second exodus. Then there is going to be a thousand years where Yeshua is going to rule and reign through His body. The rod of iron that He receives from His Father will be given to His people.
Okay. There we go. So we see the great earthquake and Babylon falling happening at the seventh trumpet. Then we see the seven cups (bowls) of judgment being poured out upon Babylon. Definitely not the time to be in the United States of America. Then comes Armageddon, also called Gog One. That is when Yeshua returns, that is also the wedding feast. Then comes the ingathering (second exodus) where we all go to the Father’s house, which at this particular point in the analogy is in Jerusalem. And then we have a thousand years which is the time of dwelling happily with our spouse Yeshua. We talk about that more in the Revelation and the End Times study. We are also hoping to do more studies on the ancient Hebrew wedding feast. There are so many things that need to happen all at once, so we are going to try and wrap those all in here.
But there are going to be difficult times. There are different interpretations of how it is going to go, but according to our interpretation and understanding, we will go to what is called the wilderness of the nations, spoken about in Ezekiel chapter 20 (verses 33-35).
Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:33-38
33 “As I live,” says Yahweh, “Surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you.
34 I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out.
35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face.
36 Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says Yahweh Elohim.
37 “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38 I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.
So, it says that we will then pass under the rod. That is a reference to the tithe back in ancient times. The tithes were to be selected at random, so what they would do is, they would take the sheep and they would pass them through a gate. And you take a rod dipped in soot and then every tenth sheep (big, small, healthy, unhealthy, male, female, makes no difference), every tenth one would be struck with the rod to mark them with the soot. And that is how you know which was the tithe animal. Some people believe that is a reference to 10 being called or taken away, and others believe that is a reference to 90 being called or taken away.
But in any event, we are talking about a very difficult time. We are talking about literal threshing. And again, it is that Assembly of Philadelphia, that of true brotherly love, that is going to be protected from harm during the end-times. Because Yahweh promises to deliver those who want to do what He says. If His goal is to get us to love Him first with all of our heart, with all of our soul, and with all of our strength, and then to truly love our neighbor as we love ourselves, when you think about it, that talks about life in community. Is not that the Assembly of Philadelphia? It makes sense to me as well as to a lot of other people. But effectively, Yahweh promises to deliver those who do what He says because if we do what He says, why would He need to punish us? Why would He need to correct us if our hearts are already for Him, and our hearts are already set to being His Proverbs 31 bride?
Okay. So we have to ask ourselves, what does Yeshua want? Well, we look at Matthew chapter 28, verse 18 which is actually part of the Great Commission.
Mattityahu (Matthew) 28:18-20
18 And Yeshua came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, immersing them in My name,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
So, why do we want to do this? What does Yeshua want with that? Well, Yeshua came to earth to help bring the earth under submission to His father. We fell away in the garden, so it was known from the foundations of the world that Yahweh would have to send His Son to help recover His lost people, Israel. It gets more complicated than that, Father willing, we can cover the long version in some other place. But then, in the end, Yeshua is going to deliver the kingdom to Yahweh the Father, and He is going to put an end to all unjust, incorrect, elitist, and all the selfish authority and power.
Qorintim Aleph (First Corinthians) 15:24
24 Then comes the end, when He [Yeshua] delivers the kingdom to Yahweh the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power [i.e.; Babylon].
In other words, the Babylonian system is going to fall and is going to be replaced with Yeshua’s kingdom, which is not an elitist-led kingdom led through power and coercion but is a servant-led kingdom. Because Yahweh is planning on bringing a new spirit upon the earth that will last for this thousand years. That is when Yeshua’s body (or His bride) is going to rule over the nations with His rod of iron.
So, what does the Father want? Well, He wants us to love Him with all of our heart, with all of our soul, and with all of our strength, and then He wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Qayin (Cain) slew his brother Havel (Abel), saying am I my brother’s keeper?
B’reisheet (Genesis) 4:9-10
9 Then Yahweh said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”
10 [Cain] said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
Well, the answer to that question is ‘Yes! Absolutely we are our brother’s keepers!’ And if we take this attitude that we are our brother’s keepers, then the idea of living in community makes perfect sense. If we are not our brother’s keepers, then living in community is basically a kind of hell on earth. But if we are our brother’s keepers, living community can be a very sweet, wonderful experience. We know that Yahweh sent Yeshua to restore the connection that was lost and broken in the Garden of Eden. So when we dwell in Yeshua and Yeshua dwells in us, and Him in the Father and the Father in Him, that effectively restores the lost and broken connection. Now we have that connection restored, but we need to walk in that connection. We need to abide in Him, we need to dwell in Him. It needs to be a constant, ongoing thing.
So what do we do? Well, immersion is good and something that we should all do. But immersion is just a sign or a ritual. In addition to getting immersed we need to receive His Spirit and then walk in His Spirit 24-7, and not quench it. And I will guarantee you, that is something that not everyone does. And I will also guarantee you that community will not work if people are not walking in His Spirit. If people are walking in His Spirit, community becomes possible. If people are not walking in His Spirit 24-7, community is not possible. I will guarantee it.
The other thing is we need to submit one to another in His Spirit. As long as we are dwelling in His Spirit, we need to submit one to another in it. And that is what makes community possible. Those of us who are truly submitted to Him, as we talk about in many other places, we are effectively His body and His bride. So, in Psalms chapter 2, we read how Yeshua is going to receive the rod of iron from His Father, and then in Revelation, He gives that rod of iron to His body (or His bride). And then it is His bride that rules and reigns over the nations for the thousand years with His rod of iron. But in order to do that, we have got to be properly organized.
Tehillim (Psalms) 2:7-9
7 “I will declare the decree: Yahweh has said to Me,
‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
Here is the thing. There are so many requirements to this because we have fallen so far away from what Yeshua wants. What I want to begin to do in this first chapter of this series is to give just a big picture overview of what it is that we are trying to do. We did another study called the “Beit Din Structure”, if you have not seen that I encourage you to view it and understand what it says. There are some very important things in that study because the nations of the world operate on the Babylonian Egyptian top-down pyramid. We have all seen it, the pyramid with the all-seeing eye on the top. And because it is a top-down system it is an elitist system. The strong, rich, and the powerful use their strength, richness, and their power basically to get more strength, more riches, and more power for themselves. They are not looking out for the people. That is not Yahweh’s way. Yahweh’s way is an inverted pyramid, so to speak, or we prefer to call it a living tree structure.
In the living tree structure here we see the authority starting at the root (Yeshua) and then coming up with the leaves. It is effectively an inverted pyramid. Yeshua is the root. Think about what a root does. The root is down there, it is in the darkest, nastiest place, but He does an essential function because the root pushes up the nutrients, the minerals, and the moisture and sends it up to the trunk. Then the trunk is what you could think of as the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets, also called the Foundation of Apostles and Elders. That is what the Beit Din Gadol is all about. We go through more details in the “Beit Din Structure” study. It is available on the Nazarene Israel website in both video and written form. So, the apostles tie all the communities together, but then you have communities that are led by community elders. You hopefully have more than one elder in your community which will be part of a small council (City Beit Din). Again, this has to be servant leadership-minded people.
Forgive me, I do not know how to say this, but I just have to speak the truth in love. If you are going to be a sheep, you have to be a smart sheep. You have to not give your loyalty to the wolves and there are a lot of people giving their loyalty to the wolves. There are a lot of people teaching half-truths, against community, against structure, against the Five-Fold Ministry, against the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets, and a lot of things. It is tempting to want to listen to them because you can learn a lot of good things from them. But the problem is their big picture overview is wrong and they will lead you on the wrong path. So you have to be smarter than the deception. One of the really sad things is that I know some of these guys personally. I do not believe that they are aware that they are misleading people. But they are teaching people things that are not in Scripture and things that are not supported by Scripture, and yet they do not see themselves as doing anything wrong.
The old saying is caveat emptor! (Let the buyer beware!) This is one of those things that you as a believer, each and every one of us, have to be very careful of. We have to be aware; we have to do our due diligence, we have to make sure that the things that are being taught actually line up with Scripture. We are fruit inspectors. We are not given to judge anyone, but we have to inspect the fruit. Does the fruit match what Scripture says? And if it does not, it is time to move on from that ministry. Or if you are going to glean, do not support that ministry. Because if you are codependent in that sense, supporting a ministry that is teaching part of the truth or half the truth, that is not good for you or for them. So just to be aware and conscious of those kinds of things.
True congregations in Scripture are led by at least one, hopefully, more than one, elder per city (congregational elder). We talk about that in the ‘Beit Din Structure’, in Torah Government, and also in Acts 15 Order. The elders in turn serve the deacons (shamash, meaning a servant). So, seeing how we liken the Foundation of Apostles and Elders to the trunk of the tree, we then liken the city elders unto the branches, and then you have the deacons likened as the twigs. Then the deacons support the leaves which are the true disciples. Each part of the tree has a role to play. The leaves conduct photosynthesis and create chlorophyll. The root (Yeshua) pushes the nutrients, moisture, and minerals up the trunk. And in the branches, there is a transfer of sap that happens. In each part of the tree, there are all kinds of exchanges that take place so that the tree as a whole can remain healthy. And everyone has to stay connected because, as we know, if we are not in connection with the tree, we are broken off as a branch. And then we become withered. And that is of course no good, that is not Yeshua’s will for us.
Now, just to recap, when we are talking about set-apart communities, we are also talking about the Beit Din. Because the Beit Din (the house of judgment structure) is how communities are administered. Now, we can talk about that at the micro-level, or the macro-level and we talk about the city level (the level of city elders). And we can talk about at the priesthood level, because the priesthood level is going to effectively serve all of the city elders, tying everyone all together.
So first, we have to see this is what Yeshua wants us to do, what Yahweh wants us to do. And then once we understand that this is what He wants us to do, then we need to do it. It is that simple. And if we do this, it will provide a real literal system for spiritual global government. Then, of course, man makes his plans and Yahweh directs his steps. But the headquarters is simply going to relocate from Colombia or wherever it is in the dispersion, to the land of Israel.
So effectively, the global system of spiritual government is being set up now. But for us to learn the basics of this we need to start out by looking at the book of Acts. We are going to see some very important things here. Again, this is a very hard lesson. I speak as a person who grew up in the United States of America, this is a very hard lesson for a lot of U.S. citizens, let us say. Because U.S. citizens have a tendency to see themselves as what they call the strong, silent types or the rugged individual. They have a thing called rugged individualism and this kind of thing. Well, there is a place for that. A lot of your prophets were effectively rugged individuals. A lot of your apostles like Shaul the apostle (Paul) had to be a very rugged individual in order to be able to do what he did. But the goal is for the vast majority of us to live in community. Because that is what Yahweh wants and that is how we walk out being the Assembly of Philadelphia of true brotherly love. We can learn a lot of things just by looking at the examples that are given to us in the book of Acts. And again, we cover a lot more on this in Torah Government and also in Acts 15 Order.
But if we take a look in the book of Acts, we are going to see that in chapters 2 and 4 the disciples are going to share all things in common. Not just for the purpose of sharing everything in common, not just for the purpose of any kind of income leveling or anything like that. But the reason they do so is in order to fulfill the Great Commission. Yeshua has given them the Great Commission. We are talking about people who do love Yeshua. They are trying to be Proverbs 31 brides, they are laying down their lives in the world, they are only keeping what they need for themselves and then they are giving everything else to further the mission.
Then in Acts chapter 6, we are going to see that the body is growing during this time. And because it continues to grow, now there is cell differentiation and cell division. If you know about any kind of cellular biology or human growth, originally we started out as a single-celled organism. But then, as the body grows, first it becomes two cells, and then four cells. And as we continue to grow we then develop different organs and different systems within our bodies. This is Elohim’s way. And so if that is what Elohim is doing as He is raising up a bride worthy for His son Yeshua, we can expect to see dividing roles within the body. Certain people have certain roles. There are things common to all but then there is also a division of function and this kind of a thing. Let us look at Acts chapter 2, starting in verse 44.
Ma’asei (Acts) 2:44-45
44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
[This is not prosperity doctrine! This is the people funding the mission work!]
Now, there are several things here. Firstly, we want to point out that we are not talking about the prosperity doctrine. There are a lot of people that take this, and they turn it into prosperity doctrine, that is not what this is all about. There are a lot of other people that try to take this and use it as justification for secular socialism, and that also, is absolutely not what this is all about. I do not mean to burst anyone’s bubble, but the point is that what the people were doing was effectively funding the mission work. They were funding the Great Commission. They kept what they needed for themselves, and then they sold everything else and gave their excess possessions and goods to Yeshua’s work. Because what good does it do to gain the whole world if you lose your soul? And how are you going to keep hold of your soul if you have excess possessions and goods that you do not really need while Yeshua’s work is still lacking? Okay, let us look at Acts chapter 4, verse 32.
Ma’asei (Acts) 4:32
32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
Again, what we see here is basically that we are dying to our flesh. We are being immersed into Yeshua’s death and we are raised again in newness of life. What do we have to do if we are going to walk according to the Spirit, or what is Yeshua’s Spirit doing? Yeshua’s Spirit is concerned with establishing Yeshua’s Kingdom. Yeshua wants to build the Kingdom so that He can then yield up the Kingdom unto His Father. That is the kind of thing Yeshua’s Spirit is doing. So if anyone is truly a devout believer who is dead to the flesh and sold out in the Spirit, and wants to live now for Yeshua and to see His Kingdom established, what are they going to do? They are going to keep the things that they need for themselves and everything else they are going to give to further the mission work. It is very simple.
So, of course, a body grows as the human being does. As we mentioned earlier, a body starts out as one single cell, and then it divides and becomes two cells. And then it becomes four cells, and then continues to divide and grow in this way. At first, it is not very specialized. But as a body continues to grow it develops different organ systems. And this is all to the good because once we have different organ systems, now we are capable of doing so many more different things. And this is the same as with Yeshua’s body. For example, we see the number of disciples growing in Acts chapter 6. The body is growing, the cells are dividing, the number of cells is multiplying.
Ma’asei (Acts) 6:1-2
1 Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution.
2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of Elohim and serve tables…”
There are several, very important things here. The body is growing so much. and you have the 12 apostles. They cannot keep track of everything, they cannot do everything themselves. So we need to have some cell division, we need to have an organ division. Effectively, there needs to be someone to take care of the third tithe issues, someone to take care of the poor, the widow, someone to take care of the orphan. But if the disciples were to leave the word of Elohim to serve tables, then they would have less time to give the people the information that they need in the word of Elohim. And that is not going to be good for anyone. So what are they going to do?
Ma’asei (Acts) 6:3-4
3 “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Set-apart Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;
4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Well, the brethren were told to select men of good reputation, just as we talk about the standards for elders in a community. They have to be full of the Set-apart Spirit and also wisdom, meaning, they must listen in the Spirit. It is not about thinking your way through things, it is about listening your way through. We see that these men will have very important roles. It is very important to take care of the poor, the widow, and the orphan. It is very important to take care of the third tithe matters. The third tithe exists because it is so important to Elohim to care for the poor, for the widow, and the orphan. So we see that there is a difference of function, but there is not a difference of value or importance in the body. It is simply a matter of whatever function we are called to in the body, that is the function in which we have to serve faithfully.
Next, we need to understand that there are two different kinds of Hebrew communities. The first is called the Moshav and the second is called the Kibbutz. We need to keep those two straight and keep them separate. The Moshav (Moshavoteichem) is a term that appears 44 times in the Tanakh (the old testament). For example, the tribes would dwell in their dwelling places, or in their Moshavot. They were a community, but they were not a collective community. In other words, it was kind of like a neighborhood. If you have perhaps been to San Francisco or New York City, you will have your Italian neighborhood or your Irish neighborhood, or your Catholic neighborhood (Yahweh forbid). Or maybe a Jewish neighborhood. For example, in New York City and Chicago, there are many Jewish families who live together there. It is not necessarily collectivism, there is not necessarily income leveling between them, although there is a third tithe system. We will talk about that in just a moment.
That is the Moshav. If you were a member of one of the 12 regular tribes (not Levi) you would live in a Moshav.
The second type of community you have is called the Kibbutz. That is more of a collective system. Basically, this would apply to the Levitical Order and to the Melchizedekian Priesthood, it is how the priestly system runs and operates.
Back in Tanakh times, the third tithe would be brought up to the city gates and then administered and distributed by the city elders. That was the correct way to go because the city elders would know who is poor and who is not poor in their town. They would be able to judge whether it was truly a fair tithe. There is some evidence that the first tithes were also brought to the gates to the city elders. It would make sense because they would know who had how much land and this sort of thing. So if someone was to bring a tithe, they would know that this was probably a true tithe from Joseph here, but this fellow over here, that is not actually a tithe. This fellow has got more land than that, and this kind of a thing. You were free to make as much money as you could, or as little, or whatever you wanted to do. You had that freedom and flexibility. But they had a strong family system in the land of Israel because Hebrew families are strong families. Families would take care of families. That is how they would do things.
But then in Levitical Order things were different. Those of the tribes, whether Gad, Asher, Reuben, Simeon, or whoever, would bring the tithes up to the Levites. They would collect them at a central point and then they would redistribute the tithe so that all of the Levites gained an equal amount. Otherwise, the people are just going to come up and they are going to give their tithes to the first Levite that they see, or their favorite Levite, or whoever. Then you are quickly going to lose all of your support activities. No one is going to want to chop wood, no one is going to want to draw water, no one is going to want to cook, clean, bake, make shewbread, or do the security details, or anything like that. Because everyone is going to want to be one of the Levites standing out front that receives the tithes and then takes them all home so very quickly.
If there is no income leveling or some means of making sure everyone is taken care of inside of the Levitical Order, very quickly the Levitical Order would cease to function. Because you have a lot of support activities in the Levitical Order and the people who are doing all of these tasks can rest assured that they also are going to be able to support their families and get paid so that they could continue to do their jobs.
So you have this redistribution system inside the Levitical Order. We will talk about this in a lot more detail when we get to the section on the three tithes. But effectively, you had the first level where the Levites would get paid at the Levite level, and then they would tithe to the priests. Then the priests in turn would tithe to the high priest. So you had basically three levels within Levitical Order. but other than that, there was basically income leveling within each level. And that is how it was possible to provide for all of the functions, no matter who did what they could be assured that they would be able to feed their families.
Again, we will talk about this in a future installment of this series, but the third tithe was collected and distributed by cities, which is still the way it is done in the Melchizedekian Order. The second tithe was used by families to take your family up to Jerusalem. We do not have any correspondence to that today. But still, we need to be putting aside a second tithe for ourselves and our families, to make sure that the feasts are a delight for us and especially for our children. Because when the children enjoy themselves during the feasts, then they grow up wanting to keep the feasts as adults. So that is a very important thing. The first tithe was given to the Levites. And in this case, the first tithe is given to the city elders, and the city elders are then supposed to give a tithe of the tithe upward to the priesthood. We will talk a lot more about that in the section on the tithes.
So there are these two different types of communities. There is the neighborhood type for the tribes (Moshav), and then you have the Kibbutz (the collective system) which is more for the Levites (priesthood). Both of these still apply in the Melchizedekian Order. But we are going to see how the Kibbutz system (collective system) was put into action and what the purpose for it was.
Before we get there, let us ask ourselves, how are we going to live in community? Well, the very first thing we have to understand about living in community is that it is not possible to live in community under our own power and strength. We just cannot do it. That is because, as perhaps as a test or as a learning and growth vehicle, Yahweh gave us fleshly bodies that are basically diametrically opposed to the things of the Spirit. Our Jewish brethren have what they call the concept of Yetzer HaRa or the Evil Inclination. Basically, it is what we would call the flesh. We are fleshly, we are born with selfish natures, we do not want to share, we do not want to give to other people. We want to keep everything for ourselves.
‘No, no! These are my hard-earned shekels. Stay away from my shackles!’
As sheep, we are like, ‘No! Do not touch my wool! Get away from my milk! No! You cannot have any!’
We do not want to share with our brethren in need and we do not want to share with the people who are helping us learn and grow spiritually. That is our flesh. Thankfully, when we die to our flesh, we are immersed into Yeshua’s death and are raised again in newness of life, we then live according to the Spirit. And then we can do the things that Yeshua Himself would do. And Yeshua Himself would live in community, Yeshua Himself would tithe. He would take care of the poor, the widow, and the orphan. Yeshua would not ask, ‘How much can I get for Me?’ Yeshua would ask, ‘How much can I give to others?’ That is the very first thing we need to do if we are going to have communities that work. The first thing we need is to submit to Elohim, receive Yeshua’s Spirit, and walk according to it. And then we need to submit one to another in His Spirit. Without those two things, Scripture is not going to work. We have to follow the model given in Scripture; we have to do the things Scripture says to do. In order to do the things that Scripture says to do we have to die to our flesh, receive His Spirit, and walk according to His Spirit without quenching it. That is the only way we can effectively pass what is called the duck test.
There is an old thing called the duck test. If it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, and it swims like a duck, it is probably a duck. But if it does not quack like a duck, look like a duck, or swim like a duck, it is probably not a duck. So then we ask ourselves, do we look like the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints? Do we look like the book of Acts? I do not know how many times or how many leaders and teachers in the Messianic movement I have asked this question. If we are going to practice the faith once delivered to the saints, should it not look like the faith once delivered to the saints? And if not, why not? I have yet to get an answer-back. I have asked people to their faces, I have asked in letters, I have asked in emails, I have asked in all kinds of different ways. They cannot give me an answer. Why not? Because they do not pass the duck test. They look different than Scripture. What they teach does not have any correspondence in Scripture.
So I am just saying to people right now, we have to be wise about what we do. Because we are called to do our due diligence and we are called to make sure that we are smarter than Satan’s tricks. We are sent out as sheep in the midst of wolves. We have to make sure we avoid the wolves in sheep’s clothing. And forgive me, I know a lot of these ministers. I have met them; I have talked with them. I would bet that they do not believe that they are doing anything wrong, which is why their lies are so convincing. But if you take a look, is there a correspondence? Are they doing the things that Scripture says to do? Yes, or no? And if the answer is ‘No’, well, why? Do not we need to be doing the things? I mean, do we not need to look like a duck? Do we not need to quack like a duck and swim like a duck? You never get an answer, and it is scary for them. So please pray for them, because we are told, and we know that there is a correspondence between the Levitical and the Melchizedekian Orders. How do we know this? Let us look at Exodus chapter 25, verse 40.
Shemote (Exodus) 25:40
40 “And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.”
And again we see the same thing in Hebrews. Many people believe Hebrews was written by Shaul. I believe it was Shaul.
Ivrim (Hebrews) 8:5
5 “…who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moshe was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “ ‘See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.’ ”
Well, brothers, sisters. Are we not shown a pattern in Scripture? Are not we told to do certain things in Scripture? And that if we are going to practice the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints, do not we need to do it? This is the question that a lot of times we tend to not get answers back from people. But this shows the levels of devotion. It shows who is a Hebrew and who is a Hellenist, who is devout, and who is going to do his own thing, pretty much.
So what did Yeshua tell us to do? He tells us in Ephesians chapter 4.
Ephesim (Ephesians) 4:11-16
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Messiah,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah;
14 That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting [prosperity doctrine, independent ministries, etc.],
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Messiah—
16 From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Some pastors, teachers, and ministries teach completely against this. But these Five-Fold Ministry gifts are given to the body to help us grow. And if we operate according to the Five-Fold Ministry gifts (i.e.; swim like a duck) then the promise is that we will no longer be swept away by all of the many false doctrines. There are all kinds of book of covenant versus book of the law teachings and so many other crazy ideas. There is the lunar sabbath theory, equinox theory, all kinds of theories out there that are not supported by Scripture. There is this teaching and that teaching, and someone else’s teaching and all kinds of ministries are teaching disorganization. The Messianic realm especially teaches prosperity doctrine. People teach all kinds of things that do not appear in Scripture.
People are teaching apart from Scripture, it is wrong. We are not allowed to do that. And as a result, you end up with the Messianic Mess. So, the people are spiritual children carried to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, literally by the trickery of men. Because these are men who are not teaching according to Scripture, they are teaching in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. This is like the book salesmen with their independent ministries. Because they are not building a combined kingdom, they are not building one unified ministry based on a Foundation of Apostles and Prophets. They are not helping to build Yeshua’s Kingdom, rather than setting up alternative kingdoms. They are setting up stumbling blocks for the people.
The remedy for this is to speak the truth in love so that we may grow up in all things. So we can avoid the errors, we can avoid the heresies, we can avoid the wolves in sheep’s clothing. And by forming one unified body upon the Foundation of (Yahweh’s) Apostles and Prophets, we may all grow up into all things into Him who is the head. Sort of pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps, so to speak, until we reach the measure and stature of Yeshua. And it says that the whole body is joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causing growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
For example, we talked about the analogy of a tree. So here you have each part of the tree doing its part. You have the root (Yeshua) pushing up the moisture, minerals, and nutrients. You have the trunk bearing the weight of the tree, also transporting the sap upward, and then supporting the branches (the elders). And then the branches support the twigs (deacons), and they in turn support and serve the people. And so each part of the body, each part of the living olive tree, needs to do its part.
This is how the tree continues to grow, by each part of the tree (vine, body) doing its part, so that it can edify itself in love.
Qorintim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 1:10-12
10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Master Yeshua Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Shaul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Kepha,” or
“I am of Messiah.”
Shaul is saying that firstly, Yeshua’s name is at stake and that we should not be divided. Meaning, it is not a bunch of different ministries, it is one single combined ministry. We talk about this in the study on the Beit Din Structure, because that is how you get to have a unified body, is by operating on a single combined Foundation of Apostles and Prophets. Just like we see in Acts chapter 15, just like we see in Acts chapter 21.
There is no “I am of Shaul” or “I am of Kepha”, or “Oh, how beautiful, I am of Messiah!” Yeah, is not that just like we have in the Messianic movement today? We have people say “Oh, well, I like this minister.” “Oh, I follow this ministry”. “I really like the teachings of this person” or “I read this little book”, or whatever.
But these are ministers who do not work together unless there is an opportunity to sell books and tapes together.
We do not see that behavior in Acts chapter 15, we do not see that behavior anywhere in Scripture. The apostle Shaul did not write any epistles of First and Second Book Sales, right? He did not do that. These are things that have been added to Scripture, these are departures from Scripture. They are effectively heresies. And these ministers and ministries are guilty of it, whether they know it or not. And I am not saying they intend to do something bad. But by teaching against unification, against the Five-Fold Ministry structure, and against the single Foundation of Apostles and Prophets, they are effectively dividing the body of Messiah.
Because we are effectively in a situation where each one says “No, I follow this guy” or “I am of this ministry” or “I am of Messiah”.
But they are not of Messiah because they are not operating on a single Foundation of Apostles and Prophets like we are commanded. This is something Yeshua himself gave. Because Yeshua only has one ministry, and He expects all of His true ministers to work together at His true ministry.
In Amos chapter 3, verse 3, Yahweh asks a rhetorical question.
Amos 3:3
3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
Of course, the answer is ‘No’. How could we walk together unless we are agreed? We have to be in agreement. So this is why we say that first, we have to submit to Elohim and His Spirit. We have to die to our flesh and receive Yeshua’s Spirit. To be immersed into His death, be raised in His life, receive His Spirit, and then walk in that Spirit 24-7, or continually at least, without quenching it. And then when you have that kind of a person who is truly making the effort to walk after the Spirit, then we need to submit one to another in the Spirit. We will talk about this more in future installments, but this determines who serves in what position. Because the people who serve more effectively tend to gravitate more towards the trunk of the tree. They are going to end up bearing more weight, they are going to resolve more problems, they are going to serve more. They are going to carry a heavier load than other people. It is going to be harder for them, but they are going to be able to do it because of their increased devotion.
Okay. So in future sections, we are going to talk about the realities of community living. Because it is not all breaking bread, singing and dancing, and this kind of a thing. There is some actual work to be done, especially if you are going to join the priestly community, whether we are in Colombia or somewhere else. If you are going to be a servant leader in a Nazarene Israel community, you need to be a servant. You need to serve the needs of the people, but you also need to be careful what people you allow into the Kibbutz.
Now the Moshav is a different question, people can enter the Moshav with relatively relaxed rules. But before you can invite someone safely into the Kibbutz, they need to be someone who effectively wants to help build Yeshua’s Kingdom. If they do not want to build Yeshua’s Kingdom and they are not willing to submit to discipline, they need to stay in the Moshav and not enter the Kibbutz. So it is very important, and we will talk about this in future installments. because for someone to enter into the Kibbutz, basically, it has to be someone who knows what it is to serve as a Proverbs 31 bride, wants to make that effort, and is not afraid of work. When you serve in the priesthood level (the Kibbutz level) it is truly a lot of work.
Also, future leaders out there need to be sure to invite to the Kibbutz level only those who are willing to follow the Matthew 18 Process. So you have basically your Moshav level, which is set-apart, but then you have your Kibbutz level, which is even more, close-knit set-apart. You are a more set-apart community, everyone is going to have to agree to obey Scripture and also obey certain community rules. We will talk about that more when we talk about the Matthew 18 Process.
Most (or at least many) people have never been taught that the Beit Din is an integral part of the community, nor that the Beit Din is also implied in what is called the Matthew 18 Process. But the Beit Din was part of community living in Yeshua’s day. He did not need to refer to it, it was understood. Because Scripture is first and foremost a book written by devout Jews, literally for other devout Jews. It is open to gentiles, obviously. But we need to see things through first-century Jewish lenses, so to speak. Very important! Because we need to understand the background and the history so we can understand what is going on. And again, we talk about this more in the ‘Beit Din Structure’. But if you are trying to set up a community or if you are trying to conduct a Matthew 18 Process, ignoring the Beit Din structure is kind of like taking the motor, transmission, or the drive train out of a car and expecting it to still run. It does not work. Try to take parts out of a computer, or a cell phone or something. It is not going to work right. These systems are designed as a whole, so to speak. We have the Great Engineer up there and He has developed a system that works, if only we will do the things that we are told to do. We need to maintain the manufacturer’s recommended schedule of maintenance, and these kinds of things.
In any event, there are several different studies to read for those who are interested in joining community. Whether you are talking about the Moshav, the more loose-knit level, or whether you are talking about joining the Kibbutz, or especially the headquarters Kibbutz. I would recommend that you read Revelation and the End Times to understand the big-picture historical perspective, or you could watch “Revelation Simplified” on the Nazarene Israel YouTube channel. Or it is also on the website under the videos tab. I would also recommend Torah Government. Again, this is a high-level overview of how the government in Israel has progressed over years. From the days of the earliest patriarchs, through the Levitical Order, and in the Melchizedekian Order. Through the great falling away and then now again through the Restoration of the Melchizedekian Order with the Tabernacle of David being set back up again (in our day, after the time of the great falling away). And perhaps, it might be easier to just begin with Acts Chapter 15 Order, since that talks about how community should be organized at a much more accessible or personable level. And then maybe work your way backward through the sequence from there, however Yahweh leads you. But if you would like to join set-apart community in Nazarene Israel, I would strongly recommend these three studies. It is good to know the doctrine anyway because we need to be able to give a defense for the reasons that are within us. And we cannot believe things just because of what someone else says, but we need to read and study these things ourselves. We need to study to show ourselves approved.
Revelation and the End Times (written study), or Revelation Simplified (video study) – For a big-picture historical overview.
Torah Government – For a high-level overview of how government in Israel has progressed over the years.
Acts 15 Order – A more personal level of how community should be organized.
As leadership, we need to select for Yeshua’s Proverbs 31 bride. For the Kibbutz level, we need to select people who want to make a living sacrifice for Yeshua. If someone does not want to make a sacrifice then you can have them at the Moshav level, but you do not want to invite them into the Kibbutz level. It will not work. The Kibbutz level is only for people who truly are filled by His Spirit, who try their best never to quench the Spirit, and who are willing to accept discipline as disciples to be conformed to Yeshua’s walk to help set up Yeshua’s Kingdom. Because they love Yeshua and they are willing to be trained, and perhaps they want their families to be trained also. So basically, if they are more devout then it is okay to bring them into the Kibbutz level.
In future sections, we are going to talk about supporting all of this. There are a lot of people who would love to live in community, but they sort of expect it to run on air, and it just does not work like that. If you expect the ministry to run on air you can be, at most, at the Moshav level, but not the Kibbutz level. The great commission, the Five-Fold Ministry, the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets are real things. These are real institutions; these are things that Yeshua Himself commands for us to do. These are things that Scripture says to do. We are told to do everything according to the pattern which is shown to us on the mountain. We need to do everything according to the pattern that is shown to us in Scripture if we hope to be pleasing to Him in that day. Also, if we hope to belong to the Assembly of Philadelphia and survive the Great Tribulation, without being punished or without being corrected. Because why? Because we are already taking these corrections upon ourselves. Because we do not just say we love Yeshua, but we truly love Yeshua, and show it by our actions.
The thing to remember is that there is a mission to perform, and it does not do itself. At the time of this publication, it is 2021. I have been at this walk for 20 something years now. And I have yet to see it work by itself. There is a lot of work and a lot of people do not understand that there is a lot of work. And so they do not understand the reason for supporting the leadership. But it is a mark of spiritual maturity when people begin to understand that,
‘Hey, you know what, it is not just all for me. You know, it is all for Yeshua!’
And what does Yeshua tell us to do? He tells us to love Yahweh our Father with all of our heart, with all of our mind, and with all of our soul. And then to love our neighbors as ourself. And if we are going to love our neighbors as ourselves, sometimes some of our neighbors are going to fall in hard times. Things happen in this life. And when we willingly give to the poor it is kind of like telling Yahweh:
‘You know what, I get it. Thank you, Yahweh. You gave me the ability to help someone else who needs help. Thank you for opening my eyes to Your heart. Thank you for opening my eyes to Your truth. Thank you, Father. That is what we need to know how to do.’
We are also going to talk in future installments about the headquarters community in Colombia. And again, this will be the Beit Din Gadol, a priestly community. And effectively, our job as basically the trunk of the tree is to support the major branches, while they support the people, effectively. So, the headquarters community’s job is to provide those materials, provide those teachings, provide those videos, to provide all the things that help bring and tie the whole thing together globally. Because at the end of the day, that is what Yeshua wants, a global kingdom serving Him. That is the whole point of the Great Commission. To establish a global network of disciples who are doing everything that He says. And then, after the tribulation and the ingathering, basically the headquarters is going to move (from wherever it is in the exile) to Jerusalem. But that network that is established is going to continue to operate as the priestly system during the Millennium.
Father willing, I hope I get time to write Revelation and the End Times Part Two. I could explain the whole thing, it just would take some time. But we will talk about this in future installments. It is just too much to go into here. We have a lot more detail to go into in the weeks, months, and probably years to come. Community is a huge project, and it is a huge involvement to do right. There are a lot of people that try community, but very few do it successfully because very few are willing to pass the duck test. They try to do it in ways where they are not following Scripture. People do not want to follow Acts 2, they do not want to follow Acts 4, they do not want to follow Acts 6, or Acts 15, or Acts 21. But if we are not willing to obey the Book of Acts, then how are we practicing the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints? Does not make any sense. If we are going to call ourselves ducks, we need to look like ducks, we need to quack like ducks, we need to swim like ducks.
So, in this introductory section, we have talked about a general global overview of what we are going to discuss in further detail in future installments. This is very important information that everyone needs to know. We talked a little bit about the end times and the tribulation. We probably will not go into that anymore during this segment, but I encourage you to watch “Revelation Simplified” on the website (or on the YouTube channel) or to read the book.
We have talked a little bit about community and the difference between Moshav and Kibbutz. We are going to get into that a lot more because there are specifics involved in each one. We have talked about how the Great Commission depends upon community. We are going to talk about that a lot more, there is a lot more to say. But again, please read Acts 15 Order, especially that one. And then, Father willing, in the next installment we hope to begin talking about some more of what you might call the nitty-gritty details. We are going to talk about the physical realities of life in community, and how people show up thinking it is going to be all fun, breaking bread, and games and dancing, and how there is really a lot of work involved. So we will talk about that. We are also going to talk about what happens when things go wrong. Probably in a separate section, we will talk about the Matthew 18 Process and the Beit Din. Probably not next week, but we might get into it to start with.
And then from there, we are going to talk about the other topics. We will talk about the Colombia headquarters community. We are also going to talk about advice, tips, and information for leaders. because we know that after this next war that is coming up, the dry bones are going to start coming together, bone on bone. And we are going to see a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed. It is going to be more than a hundred and forty-four thousand. This is important information; it is going to impact each and every one of us following this next war. So the time to begin to get prepared is now and I encourage you again to share this study with anyone who you believe might be interested. We are going to leave it unlisted, but people are able to enter into the website and then see the link to the article once logged in.
And the goal is to understand the concept of community and to understand Yahweh’s heart in taking care of the poor, the widow, the orphan. And in taking care of those who fall on hard times, those who have medical troubles, and through no fault of their own. Because this is all part of being the Assembly of Philadelphia. These are all things that we need to do in order to truly be His people that are pleasing unto Him, that place service to Him and His Son’s Kingdom ahead of themselves. So if we think that we are going to make it through the end-times unscathed, without learning to place Him and His Son’s Kingdom ahead of ourselves, we have some re-figuring to do brothers and sisters.
So again, let us ask ourselves,
Do we pass the duck test?’
Do we submit first to Him and His spirit and walk in it 24-7?
And then do we submit one to another in the Spirit, so that we can truly love our brother and become the true Assembly of Philadelphia?
And are we truly following the model given to us in Scripture?
These are the questions we need to ask ourselves as we proceed into this series on Set-Apart Communities. Please continue in the next chapters for a lot more, very important information that is going to impact each and every one of us. In particular, our children and the next generations, who are going to be the ones to rule and reign from Jerusalem with Yeshua’s rod of iron.
